Often times we forget that the best is the only thing we can do.
Sometimes you can’t control every outcome.
You may think that you can control everything that you’re trying to accomplish and be. However, that isn’t true.
One thing you can only do is your best.
Showing Up as Your Best
Doing your best is an underrated simplification that people take for granted.
Things may go good or bad but as long as you did your best, failure wouldn’t matter, success wouldn’t matter.
Nothing’s going to matter anymore than you showing up as the best version of you in that moment.
Sometimes, allowing yourself to have an off day and not this perfect overachiever who gets everything right can help you relax and realign yourself.
A huge weight would be off your shoulders once you know that you’ve done your best even if it was not as good as yesterday.
It wouldn’t matter if you make a million dollars or not, as long as you show up in every moment as the best version of you, you’d be having takeaways from the situation to learn from and improve yourself for the next challenge.
Being the best version of you always is what life is really turning into.
We are always under scrutiny, under pressure. People expect us to be successful or to fail but none of that matters.
That’s all going to neutralize when you just sit in this place being your best right now.
That requires you to be present.
But what does being present actually mean? What does presence have to do with anything?Presence is being here in this moment. Now is the only time that we have. Click To Tweet
In fact, we don’t even have time because it’s just a unit of measurement. Time flows whether we like it or not so being truly alive is being in the present.
Often times, you find yourself getting pushed out of the present because of distractions while in fact, in that very moment even without anyone watching, you should be your best self.
Everything that you’ve ever wanted is right here and now.
What is the best you?
A lot of times we don’t actually know what our best is.
We tend to make up what we think our best should be or sometimes we line up with some misleading expectation.
I’ve noticed a lot in social media and with celebrities, they’re very good at showing one side of themselves which would make us think that it’s what we need to become.
Sometimes, we’re so stuck in comparison that we forget the truth.
Be YOUR best
Your best is doing everything that you can possibly do at this moment with excellence.
The most satisfying thing in history is going to sleep knowing that you did your best.
You did your best, you gave it all. Maybe your best was a little bit frustrating today but you’ve worked on getting yourself out of it.
Maybe your best was having your worst sales percentage ever but that can be your best as long as you gave it your all. You haven’t had any sales for this month despite all the hard work you’ve done. However, you’ve made good connections with people who would help you towards your goals in the next month or that you have learned new strategies along the way. Because not at all times, we get what we wanted. We need to look at each situation, each win, each failure for what it has to give us.
Giving Your All
It’s the most relaxing and effortless thing that you can do because that’s really what you can do always.
Be here and do not think of anything else.
Right now, as you are reading this, it’s your job, in this moment, to do your best.
Life is made up of those moments. When you do your best in every moment, everyday you do your best, every week you do your best.
Inside of you is the seed for everything else that you want to accomplish.
All you have to do is be present in this moment and give it your all.
