Some people dream of success, while other people get up every morning and make it happen. – Wayne Huizenga
People ask me all the time, “How have you been able to do all that you have done?”, and to this I ask the question back, “Do you have a morning ritual?”, as it is one of the biggest secrets to changing your life. Morning routines are sacred – and it is imperative that you have a ritual in a way that you start the day. One key to success that many people tend to miss is that morning rituals should be done the right way and structured the right way because I do believe that it is critical for lifetime success.
A morning routine sets you up for the whole day, and if it is done right, everything else in your life will follow.
As a leader and as somebody who is pushing the world forward, we need to have a way that we start our day and also end our day that creates a habit of success. In human psychology, according to Pavlov’s studies, humans are creatures of habit. That means we are gravitated to doing that one thing that unlocks or supports who we are or who we’re going to be – that’s the keystone habit. A lack of a healthy morning habit will take a toll on your well-being and thus affect your daily productivity.
So, why do you need a morning routine? Leaders and entrepreneurs, we love movement, we love seeing our businesses move forward and it’s the same aspect in the way that we begin each day. When we start our day with movement every single day, it allows us to move forward with the first thing we do, get more important things done, and still have time for leisure, relationships, and things that seem to get buried in a busy schedule otherwise. Another keystone habit would be getting up in the dark and getting out there before anybody else. Although it may be a challenging habit to begin, I honestly believe that if we make an effort, we can find the time to wake up before everybody else does.
If you are the type of person who wants to make a massive difference on the planet that also wants to be vital, vibrant, and full of energy, it is critical to set up the following in your life: set up your mind, set up your body and nutrition, and build your vision. It takes daily structured planning to have predictable mornings that make sure that every day you win. If you’re not a morning person, if you’ve never structured a morning ritual before, now is the time to start one. The mindset of self-care allows yourself capacity to be functioning at your peak. Having a regular daily early-morning ritual leaves you feeling abundant, refreshed, and energized from early in the morning until you wind down at night.
